Sales and Business Development Manager - Brussels Office

We are looking for a Sales and Business Development Manager for our office in Brussels.

Responsibilities:

  • Work to build upon AIM’s market position in Brussels and achieve further financial growth and market share in the MICE segment
  • Define, in accordance with the HQ, key targets and  strategic development goals, builds key customer relationships and identifies new business opportunities
  • Work in close conjunction with the operation team to increase sales opportunities
  • Research and source potential business opportunities and contacts
  • Drive the business towards long-term client relationships
  • Foster productive communication between the client and the rest of the staff
  • Handling incoming inquiries and providing timely proposals
  • Develop winning strategy by prospecting specific corporate clients
  • Following up business leads and identifying new sales opportunities
  • Managing the end to end sales process including BIDs and financial offers
  • Preparing professional presentations for new clients
  • Preparing and submitting formal business tenders and proposals
  • Managing ongoing business accounts whilst building new relationships
  • Monitoring sales data and account performances

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of sales professional experience and of which at least 3 years’ successful direct and indirect sales in the corporate event industry
  • Excellent knowledge of the MICE industry, processes and operations
  • Demonstrated track record in Sales and Account Management
  • Track record of building long-term contacts and fostering relationships at all levels
  • Track record of achieving individual targets with high-value sales
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, natural networker, confident communicator and presenter
  • Commercial knowledge to analyse market data and identify new opportunities
  • Strong team player but equally good at taking initiative
  • Creative, customer-orientated and a team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Languages – French and English. Other languages will be considered as a plus
